Petra Schnierer - Nurse Next Door

Petra’s journey in healthcare is one shaped by compassion, determination, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.
As a dedicated Registered Nurse, she has worked across various healthcare settings—from emergency rooms and aged care facilities to executive roles within the Australian Government.
With each experience, she gained a deeper understanding of the gaps in the healthcare system and set out to change the landscape of home care. This vision became a reality with the launch of Nurse Next Door Home Care Services Hobart East.
Maria Reid - Eden Cosmetic Therapies

A co-owner of Eden Cosmetic Therapies, Registered Nurse Maria Reid has a background in healthcare management including a Masters in Clinical Leadership and Certification from the University of Cardiff as a Lean practitioner.
Having worked for not-for-profit organisations and now being a small business owner in our community on the Eastern Shore, Maria has many versatile skills that make the fabric of her skillset transferable to any work environment.
Working on optimising appointment availability, strategies to have an organised workplace, staff education and how to manage consumables with minimising waste (wasted time, reworking, or money) is something that Maria is extremely passionate about. Maria has managed award-winning National teams and has a passion for workplace health and wellness, education, training and working smarter not hard harder.
Maria's talk will include some take-home tips and tricks on how to help make your day even more seamless when managing an operational space which includes staff, customers, ongoing education, business growth expectations and the day-to-day pressure of our current economic climate.
There is no better time than in Q1 of the calendar year to make some small changes in your daily habits and the way we think or approach our workplace to ensure growth and success in for yourself and team.
Key take homes from Maria's presentation will include:
- Why the on boarding process of staff is important;
